The spread of the COVID-19 virus around the world has led to conditions where our community may be experiencing uncertainty, isolation, and anxiety. Many are unable to work as a result of government or other restrictions or are simply trying to work remotely, juggling new pressures caused by social distancing, family needs, and trying to manage businesses.
The SCA supports our community, and we want to go one step further by delivering a learning and networking opportunity in the form of a webinar series centered around Sustainability topics. We know that even in this very uncertain time, sustainability issues persist, and we believe that coming together to work and learn can be a good thing.
This is an opportunity for those within the whole range of experience on sustainability, from experts to those who are just eager to learn more, to come together in an interactive webinar. Coffee unites us, sustainability unities us, and we believe that sharing and learning will help us get through this together.
For two weeks, we'll offer four webinars at set times each Tuesday (8am PDT / 4pm BST) and Thursday at two times (3am PDT / 11am BST and 12pm PDT / 8pm BST). We hope the different times will make it more convenient for our global community to participate.
Each week, we'll select different topics, and may invite various guests, as well as provide up-to-the-minute resources and a summary of the changing landscape as it relates to the SCA.
Each webinar will begin with a 10-minute summary of resources, followed by an interactive sustainability discussion led by SCA Staff. If you are looking for a way to connect with your community, keep learning, and keep challenging the status quo, we hope you will join us.
