Upcycled Value: Innovations in Coffee and Consumer-Facing Products with Circular Solutions
A recording is now available of the 3rd in a 5-part webinar series, produced by the Speciality Coffee Association in partnership with the International Coffee Organization (ICO), International Trade Centre (ITC), and Center for Circular Economy in Coffee (C4CEC).
Sustainable innovation is increasingly becoming imperative for specialty coffee companies and organizations, as well as for the coffee sector at large. Since the launch of the Equitable Value Distribution Survey Report Findings earlier this year, the SCA is rethinking the connection between people and planet, resources and products, and value and capital through the lens of the circular economy.
This particular panel discussion, led by SCA Sustainability Director Andrés Montenegro, showcased innovative consumer-facing and B2B products that use upcycled coffee byproducts. Panelists explored technical solutions for upcycling coffee byproducts, present their circular innovations, and discuss how they are approaching entering new markets and industries.
Panelists include Arka Irfani from Bell Society, Mark Byrne of Good Vodka, Noomi Mikkelsen of Kaffe Bueno and co-host Katherine Oglietti from the International Trade Centre. You can watch the recording here.
