Meet the 2020-2022 SCA Korea Chapter Committee
Kiyeong Park
Elected as Education Coordinator
Nice to meet you all.
I'm Park Ki Young, CEO of Ansom Coffee Lab.
Making use of my experience in coffee activities through AST from in 2012,
I would be delighted to represent the chapter and its members as Education Coordinator.
Eunkyung Jung
Elected as Education Coordinator
I have been doing a lot of activities in the coffee industry, training good baristas and improving their professional status in community.
In particular, while working from the beginning to establish the SCA education program in Korea, I devoted my efforts to guide and educate Korean baristas to become baristas with an international sense.
Sometimes education flows in the right direction, sometimes in a completely different direction.
Elected as Education Coordinator I will try to make better information and training skills available to Korean members. Thank you all.
Yeongmin Choo
Elected as Education Coordinator
Hello coffee community!
I would love the opportunity to put my skills to work in this role. I will do my best to harmonize and communicate with AST and coffee community in Korea. Thank you.
Gun Woo Kim
Elected as Competition Coordinator
As I participated in the 2018 KLAC and 2019 KCRC as a judge, I wanted to get close with SCA Korea Chapter and contribute as Competition Coordinator.
Every competition has the backside of stage and volunteers dedicate to support operation. I’d like to be a Competition Coordinator standing behind them. Thank you.
Myeongin Ryu
Elected as Competition Coordinator
From the previous organization to the current SCA Korea chapter, I have experienced many events and competitions.
I will do my best to ensure smooth and successful operation of the upcoming competition with new coordinators and SCA Korea chapter staffs. Thank you.
Ava Seonmyeong Lee
Elected as Competition Coordinator
I have found my talent in planning events and communicating with people through more than 10 years of experience in running cafes and coffee companies. And most importantly, I enjoy doing this. I don't think there's any useless experience after all. So I think I can enjoy whatever I do without fear.
I am happy to be Competition Coordinator of SCA Korea with a commitment to 'enjoy' what I'm good at.
Shawn Seonghan Yoo
Elected as Community Events Coordinator
This is Sunghan(Shawn) Yoo, who was elected as a member of the Korea Chapter.
I am happy to be able to serve as a community member, and I hope that the coffee culture of Korea and many other countries will have an opportunity to grow together.
Let's make coffee better together. Thank you.
What is the role of an SCA Chapter?
SCA Chapter volunteers embody the values of specialty coffee by working to deliver education, events, and research to their regional communities. The Chapter personifies the vision and mission of the SCA in all activities. SCA Chapter elections enable SCA members to vote and select the volunteer committee who will be leading their local chapter's activities for the next two years. Learn more about SCA Chapters here.
